A table tennis game with real spin
Most table tennis games on a phone are swipe games: the ball goes where you swipe. Here it flies like a real ball. Topspin dips and kicks forward; backspin floats, and drops into the net if you answer it the wrong way.
- You move your body, not the racket. A ball left of the middle of your body is a backhand, right of it a forehand, just as at a real table.
- Four stroke buttons: Topspin, Flat, Backspin and Lob. Press one before the ball arrives and the hit happens by itself. Slide on the button to aim.
- The situation picks the stroke: Flat becomes a flick over the table and a smash on a high ball; Backspin becomes a push at the table and a chop behind it. With no button pressed, you block.
- Serve like in training: choose a serve, drag to aim, press Toss.
- Real rules: first to 11, nets, outs, service faults, lets and serve rotation. The opponent is a full player figure who plays the same strokes as the app’s 3D drills.
Campaign: 20 levels in 4 chapters
The Campaign takes you through 4 chapters, from your first rally to the final boss: First Serves, Club Night, Under Pressure and The Machine. Each chapter has 5 levels with their own goal (survive a long rally, win while conceding few points) and ends on a boss you play best of 3. Every level earns up to three stars.
There is also Quick Play in four difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard and Insane), achievements, XP and ranks from Bronze to Diamond, and a leaderboard of your best runs on this device.
Learn table tennis with a game: Shot Reading Quiz
If you can’t read the serve, you lose the point before it starts. In the quiz, the opponent plays a serve or a shot: pendulum, reverse pendulum, long backspin, topspin loop or smash. You watch the flight and pick the return, from ten techniques ranging from a short push to a lob. Then you see what would have happened: net, long, or a good read.
Three misses end the run, and the result tells you your level. How to spot and return these serves yourself is in Serves explained.
What to do between matches
At tournaments and league nights you often wait longer than you play. The Game Zone is made for those minutes:
- A quiz run takes a few minutes and keeps your head in table tennis: reading serves instead of reading messages.
- A campaign level is one short game with one goal, ideal when you are back at the table soon.
- Everything works offline and without signing up, even in a sports hall basement with no signal.
- And stay warm: the Game Zone doesn’t replace your warm-up, it only shortens the wait.

Limits
The Game Zone is a phone game. It trains reading spin and choosing a stroke, not your technique at the table; that’s what the drills and the video analysis are for. Playing other people online isn’t available yet.
